While most countries in Africa use the latin alphabet, Ethiopia and Eritrea use the Geez alphabet which makes the countries unique in this aspect. Many second generation Ethiopians and Eritreans abroad have managed to learn to speak their native tongues but a minority of them know how to read or write these languages. This application that can be downloaded for iphone users is intended to teach those that already know some amharic and Tigrinja how to read and write the Geez alphabet. There are about 500 words that are pronounced as examples.
